Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has revealed the first design sketches of its next new model. Known as RR4, the car should be launched in 2010 and will sit alongside the Phantom model line-up. RR4 will be smaller than Phantom and powered by a new and unique Rolls-Royce.



The design was signed in 2007 and engineering development is now fully underway. The Goodwood manufacturing facilities are completely reconfigured to accommodate the RR4, with paint shops, wood and leather, and extended to a second assembly line. The company will move to one of two shifts next year, preparing for full production of this new model.


Chief Designer, Ian Cameron, said: "Effortless performance and the process of drawing up the comfort and efficiency, made with great care and attention, will be grounds for Rolls-Royce RR4 design has a more informal presence than the Phantom models more attention to driving term project is expressed through a little 'smaller and more .. organic form, but with powerful, purposeful proportions. The design and technical details will be announced during 2009.
